This cute and powerful instrument by Martin de Witte (1999), i got after it has slept for almost 10 years somewhere, and i try to awake this "old maid" with a gardener´s rough hands, never had touched before a double strung instrument, since march/09.
such i play only the easiest, but motivating pieces in own transcriptions, and later change to the aristocratic original pieces.
i hope, you can enjoy some "correct" tunes ;-))) .
I keep a very nice memory of those days at Burg Sternberg and hope to return there next year! The coming 4th European lute festival will be at the end of August 2013 in Utrecht
Hi Mr Andrae I hope to visit Germany one day, and to go hiking as well. It's a small world, Javier Hinojosa was my neighbor a few years ago, He is a very nice person. Thanks for accepting my request. Greetins
Thank you for your kind and encouraging welcome. So sorry to have taken so long to acknowledge it. Having just moved to a remote part of Wales and coming out of the worst of the winter, I'm now beginning to slowly readjust and feel creative again, which includes visiting this site!
Hi Sigfried, very nice to meet you. Well... I'm from Mexico City, Oaxaca is a little far from here. I have not listened about those sonatas. The works that I know from the Oaxaca Cathedral are by Gaspar Fernandes, Manuel de Zumaya and Juan Mathias de los Reyes. The Peruvian musicologist Aurelio Tello transcribed and edited the completed works by Fernandes and Zumaya. I don't know if sonatas too. I'll them :)
Cheers.

Thanks for attending me on the www-thing in my profile. It should work now.
I realy love your version of Here comes the sun. It's so cool to hear modern music on old instruments (and vice versa).
Greetings from Holland,
