In fact it seems to include a large selection if not all of the music in this large manuscript of music for baroque guitar in the library of the University of Coimbra. Fascinating - I have a copy of the manuscript - now I will have to read all the text.
I think I sent these to you, Rob, and they are from either "O livro do Conde de Redondo" or possibly Rogerio Budasz' dissertation. My copy of the Coimbra ms. is on both sides of A3 paper which makes it too difficult to scan. All the Portuguese mss. include some Rojaos. Monica
I remember that Livro do Conde de Redondo was for sale along with a CD in a site called musicalia.co.uk The site no longer exists. Does anyone know where you can get the book or the cd?
The CD was made by the Portuguese guitarist Paulo Galvao with whom I corresponded for a while. He actually gave me several copies of the CD as I did some work for him. He was hoping to make another Cd and I wrote the liner notes but it came to nothing in the end. I still have one spare copy left - still in its clingfilm wrap. If you would like it I will send it to you - I need your address. As far as I know the facsimile has been out of print for a long time. You might be lucky to find a second hand copy of it. Monica
