Early Guitars and Vihuela

A network for historic guitars and vihuelas

Hello super-sleuthes,
I wonder if anyone has seen a similar guitar body which might help me identify the maker. Late 18 th century I assume.
The mustachios are original but the bridge is a 5 course replacement of the 6-string replacement ( which needed removal anyway as it was coming away and the surface below it was a disaster). (Headstock not original so not pictured).
The back is stamped Bastien Luthier but I am not aware of him this early or with a body like this.....actually I know nothing beyond what a Google image search has shown.
Thanks

Where are the photos? They are not appearing on my smart phone at least? Also, Bastien, who I do know, didn't make six-course guitars, presumably you mean six-string?
Text corrected and image now attached, thanks!

Do you have any images of Bastien guitars I can see? The back of this one is stamped with the name. Any links to biographical info, or ideas of whether an extended family of luthiers shared this name? Thanks
