As a matter of interest I wonder whether you were aware that this manuscript belonged to the English Princess Anne who became our Queen Anne in 1704. It was copied in the 1690s. She was the daughter of James II and was taught the guitar by Corbetta. Because it is now in a Dutch library it has previously been assumed that it belong to a later Princess Anne who married William IV of Orange in 1734. A lot of the pieces are arrangements of music by Purcell or dances from Playford's collections of english country dances.

I wrote an article about it recently for the journal of the Dolmetsch Foundation "Consort". Another manuscript copied by the same person was sold at auction here in England in about 1999. It includes some of the same pieces.

No - I don't think it is. I think you can get copies from the Dolmetsch Foundation. They have a website - www.dolmetsch.com or the address of the secretary is "Jesses", Grayswood Road, Haslemere, Surrey GU27 2BS. The other manuscript belongs to a private collector but he supplied me and a few other people with copies of it. It is more of a working document whilst Princess Ann's book was obviously copied specially for her.
