Early Guitars and Vihuela

A network for historic guitars and vihuelas

I have this guitar duet by Carulli. A fantaisie with some themes by Beethoven. I'm interested in hearing the original music made by Beethoven. Can anyone help me. I've got the music from the Hudleston Collection

Hi Lars

I apologize, I did not notice that the info was there in the title of the discussion. I looked at the music but the thing is, Carulli mentions 'tirées des ouvrages de Beethoven'. So he probably quoted multiple Beethoven originals. So it will take a bit of research to find out what the themes are. You could start with Mario Torta's book on Carulli or find a source of incipits by Beethoven...

Hi Jelma. I'll try the book by Mario. Thanks

Well. I've searched for the book by Mario. It's in italien a language I don't speek. To bad.

I can't help you, but I do look forward to your video!

:-)
