You have to look up by names. So you have to research 'baroque guitar', Sanz, etc... I would like to find more also. Youtube has some nice stuff.
Hi Archbar,

Here are some names for you....

Hopkinson Smith. Paul O'Dette. Jose Miguel Moreno. Frank Wallace. Rolf Lislevand........These are all great performers that have CD,s out on different lables. Hopkinson Smith has done some really beautiful recordings of vihuela (Narvaez, in particular). Frank Wallace's techique is stunning. Moreno, as has already been said, is in a class bt himself (a very beautiful class).

If you want to do a search by label, try these labels: Aliavox. Astree. Glossa. Naxos.
Search by composer: Luys Milan, Luys Narvaez. Alonso Mudarra. Gaspar Sanz. Santiago de Murcia.

Look for this stuff on You Tube; there is a ton of this stuff there: too much, in fact. It'll definitely take away from your practice time !!

You can also get some of this stuff if you browse through the classical (Early Music) section of the recordings department of Barnes & Noble, Borders or Virgin Records. I don't know what the scene is like in Charlotte; you may be best doing your searching online.

Good luck.

Hello, Achbar. Frei and Frank has given you a lot of good names of performers. As for Baroque guitar I can highly recommend a compatriot of mine that also Frank mentioned: Rolf Lislevand. His "Alfabeto" is simply wonderful, and the same goes for his "Santiago de Murcia Codex".
