Yes, you're quite right really, we shouldn't be so shy of composing, and one ought to be able to pick up and play, lots of baroque guitar pieces do invite improvised extending, and there's all those alphabeto pieces crying out for improvisation......

Frei, I'm only a player. I could never measure accurately enough to do any critical woodwork. They say "measure three times and cut once," but I get a different measurement each time!
