I thought I recognized the instrument (or the luthiers work to be more accurate). Clive actually is in Kelowna, BC (unless he recently moved in next door) but close enough. I have a similar instrument made by Alexander Hopkins...located somewhere in the Mediterranean...depending on where his boat is anchored). I really like the Castilian style guitar and don't think there's anything wrong with using it for any of the Baroque guitar repertoire.

I went to school with Clive, many years ago, and don't often get to hear one of his instruments. It was a real pleasure, just as it was a pleasure to hear your performance. Do post some more.

Thanks for the feedback, gentlemen- I'm glad you like it!

Scot, my guitar was made by Clive Titmuss in Victoria, Canada, after a Spanish model from 1690. For this recording it would have been nice to have an instrument based on one from the 1620's, on which these arias would have been played, but we can't have everything, right? This is my first guitar, purchased two years ago, and I absolutely love it.
