Yes, Sergio, the trills really blend in well, in a way that a normal trill could never do.

Note the use of the cross-string trill. This was outlined by Robert Bremner in his guittar tutor, published in Edinburgh in 1758 - the earliest tutor for the guittar. Bremner got the idea of playing the two notes of a trill on adjacent strings from harp players. I think it works beautifully in this piece. 

Note also the dragging of the RH index finger over the strings from treble to bass - also outlined by Bremner in his Scots songs publication. it all helps to bring out the warm drone quality of the open strings.
