Anonymous Romantic Guitar for sale

Anonymous most likely Saxon guitar by an unknown maker, late 1800s to early 1900s.This guitar is being sold as a player's instrument after restoration by Mark Finney in Leicester. Perfect string height and intonation. The guitar has a very nice tone with Aquila Romantic guitar nylgut strings. The restoration involved cleaning the solid spruce soundboard and French polishing, lowering the saddle, replacing the frets and a new ebony fingerboard. Incredible that you managed to find the source, I wouldn't have been able to re-trace my clicks. Maybe I should change it to a Panormo guitar I intend to make. I will of course post pictures but it may be a while as I am just researching at the moment and gathering parts. It is an exciting project though.

Apparantly it is from a Rauwolf lute :-) It's wonderful!
