Recently I transcribed the Ribayaz harp setting of Tarantela and have uploaded it to my page. -- R

Aren't performers wonderful? Ribayaz only has thes two short sections I transcribed. As you probably know, one part of his book has guitar music and another part is for harp.

Rob's version is based on the eight measure original in the Coimbra viola manuscript ( P-Cug M.M. 97, f. 98v ). Rob has marked his variations in the score.

I will upload another setting from E-Mn_M811 to my page. -- R

I no longer have the facsimile, but I don't believe there is a setting in Ribayaz for guitar. Esses lists only these Spanish sources of Tarantela settings for guitar: Sanz (rasgueado), E Mn M.811 (punteado), and Murcia (1714, punteado). There is now another known setting in Murcia's "Cifras". Michael has already pointed out the Coimbra source. -- R

Rob MacKillop had long time ago a Terantela (spelling is rigtht - that is why its difficult to find:-) very similar to this one - I think from a latinamerican Ms - Ms Coimbra? He has a webpage where he recorded this Terantela together with other pieces for Baroqueguitar from the same Ms. Its also very short but he made some very good variations to the fundamental chordprogression. The tab is here:
