Early Guitars and Vihuela

A network for historic guitars and vihuelas

I've recently started a trio with two sopranos. I've got some music for guitar and two voices mainly from the Hudleston Collection. I'm looking for more pieces. Can anyone in here help me

Interesting. I've never heard guitar with two voices. I look forward to hearing the results. Sorry I can't help you with repertoire.

There is a LOT of music for that combination, but not so much has been published. In the complete works of Giuliani by Tecla Editions there are pieces for two singers and guitar for instance. Let me think about others.

Here is something I recorded a few years ago: http://guitaromanie.tripod.com/audio/ne_te_reveille_pas.mp3

nice

I do know about Boije and the Danish collection. I just wasnt aware that theres trios. Thank you for sharing it.

For instance, look at Boije 955 ("Phoebus") or "Hebe / Pfennig-magasin" from the Rischel Birket Smith Collection. (RIBS0017-3-1). Lots of vocal duets with guitar.
