The way you hold your guitar: your reasons

Hello community!

   I would like to start this topic about your personal way to hold your guitar. Either you use a strap, a foot stool, by crossing your leg (which of them), a modern support or even some alternative ways, could be interesting to read your reasons about it since, we all know, the vibrations of the woods take big responsibility of the sound that your guitar produces, caused by the way you hold your instrument.

I variously use a foot stool(i am a classical guitarist), a strap, or cross my legs. I prefer not to use a foot stool with my baroque guitar, but sometimes I find myself doing it.
