Now without nails

Hello there, recently I made a very important decision in my career as a guitarist: I cut my nails off after more than a decade playing as an orthodox 'new school' guitarist.
For to many boring reasons I did this, but I want to make sure I made a good one, to underteake right and well this new challenge... I want to get what my mind and heart dream about: pure satisfaction. 

Any advice from the experts in this topic?

Hello Victor, I have played without nails for about 16 years now, after many years playing professionally with them. For me it took about a year to adjust. I find it is very important to find suitable strings, either gut or something like old-style Savarez, or Nylgut. Also, it helps to have a slightly lower string tension.

Then, just practice like you would anyway, maybe start with not playing the same pieces you played before the transition, but some new ones. And also, do technique: studies, scales, arpeggios. Your hands and ears will adjust.
