Ah, sorry for the late reply.......... Yea, I believe Gary is using Aqulia Gut strings, but now he tells me he is using polished gut, and sorry to say I don't remember the brand.  Gary has grown back his nails because he had to aditiion for some schools, and found that it was unacceptable to play without nails for the guitar establishment.  Gary is unique in the fact he can go back and forth between nails and no nails when he likes........ he is doing a Albeniz/Tarrega CD soon I think without nails.

is it varnished strings. it look like varnished. and what is Tornavoz as mentioned in the preface of the video. Nice delicate sound by the way. It impressive what playing with no nails does to the sound of these old/replica guitars. I'm so much in love with that sweet soft sound. Nice playing allso
