Early Guitars and Vihuela

A network for historic guitars and vihuelas

Bad news. Being military, we move around pretty frequently and my dad plans on retiring this year so we are moving for the final time and I have to put off the Renaissance guitar project. I went scouring the internet for a smaller and easier project and I decided to attempt the Pochette violin. Seems pretty simple so it should be done when I get the schedule fixed.

I expect you have already found it, but there is a really good page about pochette construction here (although I am not sure it is best to hollow out the area under the fingerboard as well). Owen Morse-Brown also sells a very nice plan for a pochette (although a bit expensive at £35).  I hope the pochette project works out well, I'd be interested to hear how you get on.
