I've always had an interest for woodworking.
Around 20 years ago beeing without work for some time I've been at a part-time wood-working course (furniture) and learned the basics about woodworking, handling of sharp tools etc.
In those years I started building a virginal that was never finished (yet..)
The rest is inspiration, patience and no fright to try something new.
Building the instruments I've had instructions and support of a friend and professional viol-maker nearby.
The guitar has been built partly in his attelier. The vihuela is almost entirely built at home with my own tools.
I hope/expect there is more to come.

Where did you learn to do this sort of thing?
