A network for historic guitars and vihuelas
Mario Carreira is a performer on 19th century guitars, a researcher and a collector of guitar and non guitar music. He studied or has been in contact with: Manuel Morais, the late Robert Spencer, Brian Jeffery, Thomas Heck, Kenneth Sparr, Jakob Lindberg and L'Archibudelli. Special interest are repertoire for voice and guitar and chamber music performed on period instruments. Occasionaly he also play continuo in baroque orchestras.
He is a collaborator of Tecla Editions founded by Brian Jeffery and published so far works by Giuliani, Molino and Matiegka.

Hi Mario
It's Isaac from Auckland University, how are you? I really thank you for the lessons we had 2 years ago, that was the most precious week I had since picked up the guitar. I've improved a lot and about to do postgraduate study. Wish I could see you again one day. My tone is also a lot better though still having nail. I'm getting more and more interested in early music and i adore C.P.E. Bach's music. Some of his sonatas, especially third movements, Rondo, seem to be excecutable on the guitar.
