Hi Natasha I have had problems with my computer and have twice lost my address book so I haven't got your e-mail.  I have finally finished reading your dissertation.  I am impressed.  I wonder if you had thought of writing another article for Lute picking out one aspect of it - lettere tagliate or Valdambrini or whatever.  The only thing I disagree with you -   the continuo exercises in Corbetta's 1671 La guitaarre royale are not identical with those in the two earlier books.  He has filled out a lot of chords and included different sometimes more complex examples.  Interesting to compare it with the earlier books really.   Hope you haven't given up on the guitar yet. Monica
