P.S. I have added a profile picture. It is me with a very special rebuilt violin with four drone strings. Usually there should be a lions or a dragons head instead of the scroll but being a Jaguar owner of an old one MK2-.62 I copied the jaguar instead..
I have sent two soundclips to the administrator.I do not know how to upload them from my computer, as they onky are sound and not have been published at You tube. Hope someone can work it out.
I would love to hear some sound recording of your replica, the one with the curly head, if that is possible...
No only one with a 6-string. An antique dealer clams that he has got an other of the Strindberg guitars but I am very dobtful about that.I looked it last satyrday and that one is really in a poor shape.I doubt that the bottom, where theres is written that he has owned is the original one. I took a picture of the dealer and his guitar anyhow
We do not know but this guitar belonged to Swedens most famous author August Strindberg. It was donated bu us,the luthier association Sträng och Stråke and the Strindberg family association(my great grandmother was his cousin) to the Strindberg museum this Saturday. At the same time thera was a concert at the replica. It sounden so wee.soft silvery almost lika a lute. I will se if I can upload a pice of the concert. And now I have got another 10-stringed from the 1890-to take care of.
Nice! Who made the original? It is a very beautiful design!
Here You have som photos.More will come after the concert.
