Early Guitars and Vihuela

A network for historic guitars and vihuelas

I've got 4 duets for the clarinet and the guitar. I've found three of them at Hudleston collection.

Just write clarinette in the top box

I've got a duet by Heinrich Neumann at home.

I know this guy who plays a historical Clarinet. Therefor I'm interested in knowing wether some of you in this forum knows about more music.

I haven't checked what's on the site you mention so I'm not sure what's there but in university I played some L. de Call and Kuffner with clarinet. I believe it was originally written for that combination...or maybe guitar and flute.

We played on modern instruments and it wasn't a big challenge for the guitarist but none the less I'd imagine it would sound very nice on the original instruments.

There is a rather nice trio by Kreutzer for flute, clarinet and guitar. I don't know any other repertoire. The combination must be lovely!

Hi Jelma. I know the piece by Kreutzer. Its very nice. Actually I've played it once with the same guy  and a flute of course. Well it seems that the repertoire for guitar and clarinet is not that big.
