La Bomba by Mateo Flecha (1481-1553), Case Western Reserve Early Music Singers and Collegium Musicum

One of Flecha's "ensaladas", a mixture of styles including sacred and silly. This is the story of a crew on a sinking ship (Bomba) yelling and shouting for help. They make promises to the Saints in case they are rescued. When they survive they break into song but the guitar player can't quite get his instrument in tune so they mock him mercilessly.
Performed by the Case Western Reserve Collegium Musicum and Early Music Singers. Daniel Shoskes baroque guitar. April 2019. Directed by Elena Mullins and Allison Monroe
