Yes - quirky is the right word for it! I have tried playing some of it with not much success and I am too lazy to try the scordatura pieces - so it was quite a revelation. Bartolotti was great too. Best Monica
Thank you, Monica! The Bottazzari is very interesting music. It's quirky and dramatic, highly expressive stuff.
Very rewarding listening. I have never heard anyone play Bottazzari before. Not quite in the same league as Bartolotti I think, but nevertheless interesting. Hope you will record some more soon. Best Monica
