A network for historic guitars and vihuelas
From Morlaye's Book 4 of 1552 here is the second fantasie by Albert de Rippe (about 1500-1551) and is one of the rare pieces in "old tuning" (acorde auallée) with the lowest course down a whole step. Unusual harmonies and virtuosic passages are typical of de Rippe's lute music. Performed by Daniel Shoskes on a 4 course renaissance guitar built by Daniel Larson
