You may recall working yourself to a standstill with the Beginners' Group at the last Lute Society weekend at Hengrave Hall four years ago.
I was in that group (and am on the far right of the concert photo of the group performing at the concert.
I am writing because you may be interested to know that you planted a seed in my brain when you ran a workshop introducing Baroque Guitar to any interested people. I enjoyed the workshop very much, but thought that that would be that so far as my relationship with the instrument went.

However... stiffening shoulders & other joints mean that I am much more comfortable on flat-backed instruments (viola da mano, for example (see my photo - I tried the orpharion & still have it, but find it's fan-fretting too challenging). And now, as I recover from illness, my wife has commissioned Tony Johnson to build me a baroque guitar. He will be starting it in January, all being well.

Neither teachers nor their pupils know, at the time, where things will lead. I thought you'd like to hear, four years down the line, what your inspiring efforts have achieved in my case. I thank you sincerely for that.

Hope you are well
Best wishes
Alan
