Part-time luthier specializing in early guitars and the Renaissance cittern. Currently producing copies of the 1602 Christopho Cocho in the Conservatoire De Musique, Paris. Researching the vihuela for an upcoming commission. Also make Appalachian dulcimer, open back banjo, mandolin, and early bowed instruments
Hi Daniel, just noticed you joined. Any news from the Mr. Gonzalez. I sent him a message today to get an idea of the dimensions of the vihuela he designed (I am hoping it is not diminutive like so many on the market). You may have an answer to this question: why do luthiers who claim to pay close attention to the extant iconography end up creating vihuelas clearly out of proportion? How is the Cocho going? Take care, Daniel
