I've just recently bought a Lute from the Early Music Shop in Bradford (this is the one I'm playing here and it is the EMS model) - I must say that I'm delighted with it. As I am a guitarist by profession I consider playing this wonderful instrument as if I'm holidaying in the 16th Century. The entire feel of the instrument immediately brings to mind all the problems and joys associated with creating and performing music at that particular time. I only wish I could play it better and as I'm rapidly nearing retirement age I'll perhaps have more time in the near future. Robin to the Green Wood is Gone is one of the first pieces I've played on it and I hope it gives you half the pleasure it has given me.
