since punteado is done sort of between the rose and bridge, how does the extra bar above the rose help the treble sound? this is fascinating!

Italian barring used for a copy of the Choco guitar in Paris.  The extra bar between the rose and neck was intended to help the treble sound when playing punteado-style.
