Early Guitars and Vihuela

A network for historic guitars and vihuelas

The giant UK construction company, Balfour Beatty, kindly loaned us a 100 ton crane plus several workmen to lift the guitar into Isambard Kingdom Brunel's Bristol Temple Meads Station. Unfortunately it was a very windy day and my request to ascend with the instrument (it required a lift of nearly 100 feet before it could be lowered into the station) was refused.
