West Dean, The Edward James Foundation

Edward James posing at Las Pozas, a surreal 'house' he was building near the village of Xilitla in Mexico. When Edward's pet crocodile died he commissioned composer Francois Poulenc to write a mass in its honour. This was perfomed by the BBC Symphony Orchestra in Chichester Cathedral
