in the label  is write in bad french '' reu de taneure, alarfune 1775'' reu de taneure is'' rue des tanneurs'' but'' alarfune'' i cannot find is a town?a country?

And I would guess at quite an extensive conversion. Possibly the Soundboard, Bridge and the Neck. The body shape is very similar to late French 5 Course Guitars.
