Good to hear, Antoine. I'd better send him a new PM in which I give him more time. It was new to me that he doesn't write English, his e-mails and PMs showed a perfect English, but I understand now that another has written them. I know about his recent misfortune, but since he said in mid November that my Voboam was done, he was only waiting for the cases to arrive in aweek's time or so, I guess you can understand my frustration since almost half a year has passed! I hope you are right when you ask me to trust in him..

Luciano is a very fair man and I know he is late in his deliveries because he had a lot of problems since 3 years (he lost his parents and himself had a car crash and was seriously injured) .I know him well and met him in Sao Paulo where he delivered me instruments. I don't understand your situation (I'm sure you are right) but you can trust in his work. There is a problem of communication with him as he doesn't speak english and needs the help of someboby each time he wants to answer by mail. Anyway this doesn't excuse the fact to keep silence and to delete the delivery ....
Personnaly when I went to Brazil to receive my instruments , everything was ok and he even ordered for me a teorbo case which was delivered at the right time even if in a first step the maker mistaked and built a case for a left handed instrument (the case was not symetric ...) and built a new one in one week !
Try to contact him again and keep some calm ... I ordered for the end of the year a Duiffoprugcar 6 courseslute and I hope it 'll be fine (anyway I've time).
A last thing : he has fantastic woods (the rio rosewood are somptuous and his stock is incredible) and he showed me the best 11 courses lute I've ever seen and heard (a Tielke copy).
Trust in him !

Antoine, a very nice vihuela by Luciano Faria. How long time did it take to get it? 3 years ago I ordered a Voboam from him, but as yet I haven't got it after having paid it in full 2,5 years ago. He admitted having sold it to someone and was making a new one for me.In mid November he said it was ready for shipment, but he was waiting for the cases. Since then I have heard nothing. Half a month ago I gave him an ultimatum: if I did not receive the Voboam by the end of May, I would inform a Brazilian Guitar Forum where we both are members about his treatment of me. He hasn't responded to that. What are your experiences with this luthier?
