Fernando Sor and Haydn

Hello dear colleagues,

I have been chewing on the statement that "Sor was a fan of Haydn" or "writes music like Haydn but for the guitar".

Does anyone know where this claim originates from?

Was it perhaps written in a concert review or as a comment in a paper from his time?

And does he really write music with a similar style to Haydn?

Many questions. And perhaps few answers. What do you reckon?
