A network for historic guitars and vihuelas
a brand new authentic copy of an 1838 Louis Panormo guitar, made by myself James Westbrook.
It was four years in the making, and is largely based on my PhD findings (the bracing treats the treble differently to that of the bass, the heel is let in at an angle etc. etc). Original c. 1830s London-made tuners, bone back-buttons, head of maple taken from an aged cello blank (just as I think Panormo did). 630mm scale. gut treble strings (at the moment), hard case. Sound remarkably like my original Panormo. £3,250.
