Early Guitars and Vihuela

A network for historic guitars and vihuelas

Hi all,

i am trying to find out if any genuine 5 string guitars have slipped through the net.  So far I am aware of two instruments in the exhibition catalogue put together by Giovanni Accornero, one (altered to six strings) in Edinburgh, the 1774 Gagliano that was in the Heyer Collection and a possible Guadagnini in Brussels.  And a couple of 5+4 harp guitars.  Any more?

I know five course instruments were converted to 5 strings, but they are not what I am after.

Thanks.
