Italian and German guitars from the 19th and early 20th centuries will be exposed at
the museum of luthery (Geigenbaumuseum) at Mittenwald in the south of Germany, which is a well-known town for its long luthery tradition.
The exposition “aesthetics and sound” will be inaugurated at April, 14th , and it will last for 6 months until October, 30th.
Over 40 rare Italian and Mittenwald instruments can be viewed there.

Opening: April, 14th, 5.00 pm.
Afterwards, the guitar player Sandro Volta from Italy will hold a concert on some of the exhibits in the close church St. Peter und Paul.

Mittenwald, cittadina bavarese famosa per l’importante tradizione liutaria, ospita dal 14 aprile al 30 ottobre 2011 la mostra di chitarre antiche “Estetica e suono”.
Nella splendida cornice del Geigenbaumuseum, che già accoglie una preziosa raccolta di strumenti a pizzico e ad arco, viene presentata al pubblico una serie unica al mondo più di 40 chitarre storiche di provenienza italiana e mittenwaldese, che raramente è possibile ...ammirare nelle collezioni museali internazionali.
Inaugurazione: 14 aprile, ore 17:00. In occasione dell’apertura della mostra il chitarrista Sandro Volta terrà un concerto presso la chiesa cattolica St. Peter und Paul alle ore 20.

In Mittenwald, dem schönen oberbayrischen Ort, der unter anderem durch seine lange Geigenbautradition bekannt ist, findet vom 14. April bis zum 30. Oktober 2011 im Geigenbaumuseum die Sonderausstellung "Ästhetik und Klang“ statt. Die Ausstellung ist der romantischen Gitarre aus Italien und Mittenwald gewidmet und präsentiert über 40 Instrumente, von denen einige aufgrund ihrer Seltenheit kaum in Museen und Sammlungen zu finden sind.

Ausstellungseröffnung: 14. April, 17.00 Uhr
Der Gitarrist Sandro Volta wird im Anschluss in der nahe gelegenen kath. Kirche St. Peter und Paul ein Konzert auf Ausstellungsinstrumenten spielen.

Ein Ausstellungskatalog ist ab dem 14. April erhältlich.
