Steven, I'm not sure whether my PM got through to you, but I have got the pictures of your beautiful baroque guitar with the amazing and conspicuous 2- or 3-layered rose. Spot on! Have a nice summer!

Best wishes

Harry

hi! i note you make parchment rosettes - would you be making them to sell, by any chance?

In addition, I have a feeling that Zalapa doesn't speak English very well, so all my instructions and information to him go through TL, so I would advise you to do the same. And Malu is a very nice person to deal with! Thank you for the tip of heating the fret gut. You can do this in hot -but not boiling- water I suppose?

Interesting news about Luciano! Let's wait and see... As far as TiendasLatinas is concerned, I ordered a concert baroque guitar with a string length of 650mm as a normal classical. I have never been in a position to try other baroque guitars, so I'm unable to make any comparison, but the sound of my guitar is more or less what I expect a baroque guitar to sound like. So if you arrange for TiendasLatinas to make you  a guitar like mine I don't think you'll be disappointed. And if -against all odds- Luciano's guitars will pop up and we find them to be better, we can still sell Zalapa's -at a profit, I suppose, or have re-entrant tuning on one and French tuning on the other! But just feel free to mention my name and my guitar in your dealings with TL if it can be of any help.

Good luck, and don't hesitate to contact me again if necessary.

Steven, I have problems with my PC, but I can strongly recommend the baroque guitars of M. Zalapa/TiendasLatinas. An excellent quality at a very reasonanble price. Therefore I have ordered an Alto guitar from them to be delivered by the end of this month.  Sound sample: http://soundcloud.com/harry-15/corbetta-preludio-al-5-tuono

Best wishes
