Hi Daniel

Will email George Thomas , really would like to see his work. What kind of music are you playing , I am really interested in the real early Baroque stuff , but am interested in all of the early string stuff . Not really a player , but now the older I get the slower and older the music I like is.

Take care , Tim

Hi Daniel

Glad there is others in town. Really would like to see every ones work. I have been doing repair and small builds since my teens - 50s now - and just started to get into older stuff. Not very skilled but really want to learn. Right now I am working on my first baroque guitar  - small Stradivarius.

haven't contacted him yet.  i'm going to have to completely finish the current baroque and the cittern in progress before i can even think about the vihuela.  so this drawing is one of his own design?  i thought it was an exact drawing of the extant instrument. i know what you mean about diminutive viheulas.  i have heard the larger instruments and that is definitely the sound we're going for.  it should sound different from a baroque.  i want to make a broad survey of the iconography and decide with you upon some simple but accurate detailing.  if you already have some images of instruments you like then go ahead and email them to me.  the choc is moving along - you can see the latest on the front page of my website.  i have hopes for being finished at the end of this month.  please remind me when you return visit is.  best, dj
