On my Korg OT 12 tuner I have you pitched at about 20 cents below standard A=440 .Is there evidence Tarrega tuned this way or is that something you chose to do for another reason ?

We've discussed Torres on this site before, agreeing that he was On Topic if treated in an historical context. Michael has copied a simple guitar by Torres, with a lute-style bridge and pegs. It feels at times like a single-string vihuela, but also feels like a 19th-century guitar. The guitar is on loan for a short time, and can be ordered from Michael.
