Thanks Stuart. I recorded the first Chacone last because when I thought it was recording the first time, it wasn't. I think there is a 4GB limit on the camera, so if I leave it running, it shuts off at 4gb. All I had was audio. The first and last chacones were recorded with a Neumann U87.

In order to get started on a project like this, I cannot commit to do things full-assed so I do them half-assed. That is, I really shouldn't have bothered, as my strings are ten years old and I just haven't gotten it together to order new strings, and I could feel my hands were going into another down period so I figured I better get something on record because I won't be able to play intensely for some time and I may leave the country for a month soon. If I think of it as practice, I can get started, but if I think of it as having to be perfect, I can't. I pay for this attitude in spades by having to correct for stupid things like the light cord hanging down and intruding in the picture and mics and chairs showing up and the top of my being head cut off, distortion etc. Anyway, I thought, okay, just use one camera and throw up the black sheet. I did set up the Neumann, but I forgot to switch the input on in the software for the gigue and the menuet in the software. I wasn't happy with the lighting after I discovered that the first chacone didn't have any video and I was getting more invested in the project, so I put up a blue screen and brought in even more lights. I also moved the mic a little closer and made sure it was on.

(Far more than you wanted to know, methinks).

Very nice, especially the first Chacone.  Was that a complicated lighting set up to get the background completely black? Did you use the camcorder's mic for the Gigue, Menuet and autre Chacone?

Great! Inspires me to spend more quality time with my Baroque guitar...I think it gets lonely sometimes:(
