Ive heard about Makaroff's memories. One  thing. Have You ever tried playing with a strap instead of the foodrest. I find it that it gives me more freedom to move my body wich allows me to express the music more. I takes a bit of time to get used to play with a strap though. Maybe its different with the 8th strings guitar because it seems a bit bigger than my Lacote.

Thanks. I actually play the same Bardenklänge pieces You do. I like Mertz very much. In my guitarduo we play some Mertz too but its a bit difficult to play on a normal primguitar with a capo. I'm planing to save some money to buy a terzguitar but I havnt got that far yet. Ome day I hope to get one.  Im interested in knowing where you've got the infos regarding Mertz playing with nails

Now I´ve got a savarez becouse It was short time to experiment. But I´d like try Gut and NYLgut too. I read about Mertz that he played with nails. It is interesting. It was big discussion in 19 century. It is very interesting. I am very happy to enjoy my playing few minutes ago I listen your Mertz. It is really beautiful.
