Dear Monica, Thank you for the informatin. I am really trying to trace an instrument that she bought from Bonhams in 1998. It was a Bambina guitar by Panormo. It is vital to my research that I see this instrument again. I will also take up your suggestion. Thank you so much. James

Hello Monica, I did not realize that. It must be because my account is with the Dutch PayPal? I'll discuss this with Rocky because it is a bit incovenient! If you want to donate and you have a PayPal account yourself, you can send a contribution to jelmaa@gmail.com from paypal.com or paypal.co.uk.

Even though I'm a bit late to react, you're very welcome Monica and thank you for your fine work in favour of the early guitar !
Best wishes,
Jean-Marie

Monica, the Chantres Grenadins comes from Musée du Louvre, Département des Arts Graphiques. Here is a link to a complete description of the drawing :

Ooops! I think my previous message is gone. Dear Monica, thank one more time for your great work on Fosco. Pat O'Brien sent me the Valdambrinis : how strange music! It seems that from time to time the engraver (himself? anyway a writing which looks like the Kapsberger's editions) was confused and wrote in "french" tabulature or even as in a mirror, and sometimes the writing is quite sketchy: much work to edit these books. But the correct pieces are great and sure it's worth to go ahead.

Thank you Monica for your kind invitation, and for your help. I just emailed Pat Obrien. Wait and see...

Dear Monica, it seems from the vihuela mail archive that you have a copy of Valdambrini's books. How can I get the same (I tried from Santa Cicilia libray in Roma but with no success!)? The music, considering Rocky's selection, sounds that it's worthy to work on it...
All the best
(my previous email doesn't appear)

Dear Monica, it seems (reading from vihuela mail archive) that you got a copy of Valdambrini's books. Any suggestion about what I have to do to get them (tried at the san Cecilia library in Roma with no success)? It seems from Rocky's partial edition that it's worth to work on them, no?
All the best

Thank you so much again, Monica, for your so valuable "editions". Am I right remembering that Sanseverino uses "conventionnal" tuning, and so your transcription is as it sounds (+ octave on the bourdons). No special attention about the parallel fifths!
