Very funny. I must admit though that I find most of the beards too much. I'm more into the kind of sideburns the men had in early 19th century, like the one Giuliani had.
Thank You. I see, You where only joking. I'm allso proud to be a nerd. One should be careful with irony when writting.
I'm impressed with all the ensembles you play in. I'd like to play with some other instruments too. There's not many musicians in Denmark that plays historical instruments and the once that do is only into baroque music and I'm more into the early romantic period not only as a musician but allso as a historian. I read a lot a history book about late 18th till mid 19th century.
I'm happy that You like our video. I'm the one with the 19th century sideburns.
Much obliged for welcoming me to this website Jelma. Glad to have access to the informations and helpful members. A happy new year to you and all who are here.
Hello Jelma, I've made two new copies: a "facsimil" (very very close copy in woods and measures) and a "antiqued" copy (with simulated use marks ). The first have gut strings and the second nylgut strings. In the pictures you can see the original and copies. In the next few months I want to copy a Agustín Caro (Granada 1824) that a friend of mine wants to sell.
Regards.
Aarón.
Hi Jelma
Thank you so much for the link to the Renaissance guitar music and the information about the French Lute Society's book.
Very nice of you.
Jamie
Hoi Jelma, complimenten voor je website en al die prachtige muziek!! Ik ben hier terecht gekomen via YouTube (video van Matthew mc Allister) groetjes Bram
Hello . Sorry for my scholary English . This view is coming from The Cité de la Musique , in Paris , and it is a Bandora ( Barok Guitar bass , 10-strings , tuning ???) one of the three in France ( 2 in the same place , and 1 in Le musée des Arts Décoratifs , also in Paris ). I asked for looking them in August 2005( may be) at Joel Dugot , director , and I see in december (+/-) . The tuning is in an English book for Tr.viol , flute , tenor lute , cittern, bandora , and bass of viol . Copyright 1977 by The Musica Britannica Trust ,"Pieces from the Walsingham Consort Book ( 1588 ) " and " Rosseter's lessons for consort ( 1609 )"( modern notation , the tuning -6 curses- is also written at the beginning, in french tabulature ) . Double metallic strings :1° A3 , and you go down like a guitar . So 5° D1 , and down tune by tune 10° F ( but F-zero does-it exist ??? ) . If I can tell you more ....JBD
