Evan Balaban said… Hi Pat,
The birds are doing fine! I've recently taken up baroque guitar, and I understand you may have a scanned copy of both books by Ferdinando Valdambrini (which I'd like to get my hands on, and I in turn have a digital copy of the Henry Francois de Gallot manscript if you are still looking for one. If you send me your email (mine is evan.balaban@mcgill.ca) I can give you access to the Dropbox folder where the Gallot is stored, and where you could deposit a copy of the Valdambrini if you are so inclined.
Best wishes,
Evan

James Westbrook said… Dear Pat, Remember me, I was asking you about June Yakeley's instruments. I don't know if I actually told you, but I saw them! But I am emailing you today to tell you that I will be at the AMIS conference in May, and wondered if you wanted to go for a drink in the bar in Manhatten that you used to frequent with June? please reply at j@theguitarmuseum.com James

Bill Samson said… Hi William.
If you haven't got the loose fret fixed before Tuesday, the usual stopgap is to wedge a little bit of matchstick under it to tighten it up.
