A network for historic guitars and vihuelas

This is a traditional "viola de arame", that is, wired viola. It has this name because of metal strings. A similar model was used by Domingos Caldas Barbosa, who created the song gender called Modinha in the late 18th Century.
This viola is a copy of one found in Paraiba, Brazilian Northeast.
