A transitional guitar with elements of the Baroque style of ornamentaion. The line decorations are actaully ink lines!

the guitar is a genuine old guitar ,that I was asked to do a little restoration work. It is in remarkably good condition with no major damage aside from a previously repaired crack on the side. What is also interesting is the use of two fan braces running from the bridge area to the base ,a characteristic unusual to both baroque guitars and early 19th century guitars . This guitar was examined by both the New York Metropolitan Museum and the Shrine to Music Museum and deemed to be genuine although disputable in it's provenance.

Hello Mel, is it an old guitar or a replica? A restoration job? I find the transition between fingerboard and soundboard quite interesting.
