Having spent many years as a professional medievalist and musician, writing books, making recordings and teaching in the University of Cambridge, I have taken up the early Romantic guitar. I have a book planned on the Guitar iN England inn the time of the Romantic Poets, so 1795 (birth of Keats, first Chabran tutor) to 1935, a round figure and just after the death of Coleridge.
Dr Page, I just have to say how excellent it is to have you amongst the guitarists! I was a huge fan of your BBC programmes and Gothic Voices work and like to think I learnt a very great deal from all that. It so happens I too am looking into Corbetta and his links with the English court.
May I very cheekily say I'm surprised your profile suggests Coleridge died anywhere near 1935...

Hello Christopher, welcome to the Early Guitar & Vihuela website. Maybe you can fix your link, there seems to be one 'i' too many?
