I have only built the one acoustic guitar, my own but did so from scratch, and all by hand, I work in a wood machine shop but prefer using hand tools, I also do some wood Intarsia, I like acoustic music, mainly folk based but like most people enjoy many forms and styles of music.
Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I am new at Early Guitar and Vihuela. I will gladly show you a few pieces of my artwork.... don't know if you like etchings/printmaking. I like to explore ideas of archetypes within nature that have meaning for me. Some of my work may look a little off the wall, but I do have a few friends that genuinely appreciate my work. Actually I joined the ring to educate myself about early stringed instruments such as the baroque guitar and vihuela, and also the lute. Thank you for introducing yourself.... I tend to be on the reclusive side.... I am not sure of all of the rules of this site, but I could send a follow up internet address to a few pictures of some of my artwork.
Here is the link if you care to view some of my artwork. It is part of a large site that exhibits artists mainly from the New Haven, CT. area of USA. It is called City Wide Open Studios. I have been exhibiting since 2006. It has been a very fun and exhilarating forum to meet artists from the area.
Out of curiosity how long did it take you to build your guitar ?? And you used only hand tools ?? I am interested because I would very much like to build a lute and now I am very interested in the baroque guitar and vihuela.

Hi Sean,
Thank you for your generous comments. I sometimes think I make artwork as an outlet of my excess energy so that I can sleep at night.... ;)
