These say not to tune about A=450 Hz, are these usable on a 65cm scale guitar? I am using the very basic "Marie Antoinette" model baroque guitar, no bracing on lower bout..

Too much tension. You need to be somewhere in the region of half those figures.for each string of each course. Try Oliver Wadsworth's site, he has a string calculator and gives an example stringing for a Baroque guitar. Forget buying strings in sets, it's normal to calculate the 'correct' string gauge and select each string individually. Aquila do both Gut and Nylgut as individual strings, including wound types. With reentrant tuning many just use the Aquila NG (Nylgut) types - no wound strings.
