a rare guitar by the famous father, not the son or the Company. Maple back and sides (of course), fixed neck. It was used as a part of a recording project and I have the recording, but it was equipped with nylon strings. It's easy to play and presently has a bright vibrant sound, due to it having nylgut strings on it (would sound better with gut strings).
I acquired this in a ruined state and have restored it (mostly needed mastic edging redone and was missing many of the ivory frets so I replaced with bone). Unmarked. Flamed maple body. I believe it is Italian circa 1800-1810. Note the fingerboard is fully inset.

I am fascinated by the little Stradivari baroque guitar, Cité de la musique, Paris, E 901.6, string length 33 cm, pitch e”. There is a technical drawing available from the GAL.

I would like to know, how this instrument can be used, in which repertoire. Is there any source or tabulature?

For some time now I have been looking for a program that can do mixed tablatures for baroque guitar as a new set, and I have just finished a successful attempt (Valdambrini: Gagliarda seconda). You have to do some tricks, and the work takes a bit longer, but the result is quite good, I think. Maybe this will help others to write readable tablatures.

Santiago De Murcia - 3 Tarantellastag:earlyguitar.ning.com,2023-07-02:2111060:Topic:1729452023-07-02T16:49:07.515ZRuben Ipsenhttp://earlyguitar.ning.com/profile/RubenIpsen

Hello Everybody,

These 3 tarantellas are being posted here for convenience. These are the only 3 Tarantellas by Murcia that I know of. If there are any more please post the information within this thread. The Tarantellas are labeled 1 - 3, 1 being the easiest and 3 the hardest. Tarantellas 1 & 2 are quite similar to each other with 2 being longer and more intricate. There are a few youtube videos with renditions of Tarantellas 2 & 3 - the performances are quite good!
